Paul Brock

Paul has more than 30 years of teaching experience. Private and group lessons. Totally dedicated to the guitar and fluent in may styles of music. In 1990, I realized the guitar was my thing. I just woke up that morning and knew the time had come. I had a guitar for years but could not play it at all. Music was always a fascination and an escape for me. It was official that morning. Guitar was my thing. It's been nothing but guitar since that day. I started teaching in 1993, at a local music store. That same month, I also began music studies at a university, where I was exposed to more music and guitar than I could have imagined. It's fun to teach and see a student achieve something that is important to them. It's awesome when you see someone suddenly understand something that's like magic to them. I've played in various band situations and solo over the years, covering an extremely wide range of styles and have composed, recorded and produced music for numerous television shows. I know my stuff and how to make it happen on the guitar. I'm just here to help anyone that wants to learn, be the best they can be. No matter the style of music.

    Working with Paul the past 7 years has been one of the most formative journeys of my life. Paul brings the perfect dynamic approach to his teaching. If you want to white knuckle complex jazz theory or if you want to learn pop songs and have jam sessions, Paul will bring the same amount of ferver and interest. My biggest reason for continuing my lessons with paul so long is his abililty to teach in digestible, brief, but highly effective lessons. He makes it a priority of his to break concepts down to the level of the recipient. Paul has transformed me from a complete novice to someone who is starting to branch out and play live, as well as enriching my knowledge in and passion for music. Every lesson is fun. Every lesson is practical. Paul definitely puts the student first in all aspects of his business. He is hyperflexible with shedueling and always lets the student take the initiative in what he or she wants to learn or approve upon. I would recommend paul as a teacher for nearly anyone at nearly any skill level.

    I took lessons with Paul for 5 years. He is an excellent instructor and his lessons helped me make leaps and bounds in my ability to play guitar. Whether you want to unlock the secrets of music theory or just want jam to your favorite songs, Paul can teach you what you want to know. I highly recommend taking lessons from him. He's an amazing teacher and an awesome guy.
